Well as if the PR nightmare couldn't get any worse for Zynga they have confirmed that if you want LIVE Chat Support you must spend money on the game to get it. WTF !!! 

Games.com just released a story confirming this and even the Community Manager / TerriHelper from Farmville has confirmed this is true with a post about it on the forums.

I know in the Mafia Wars Community alot of non paying players have not been able to get through to LIVE Support while all their friends have so this explains alot. 

This is probably the worst thing Zynga can do to their already angry player base that is continually shrinking everyday due to the many game issues that go unanswered by the traditional email support tickets. Bad move Zynga !!! 

LIVE Support should be available to everyone regardless of whether you spend money on a FREE game on the Facebook platform or not. This is True discrimination and maybe just cause for possible lawsuits in the future as they advertise the game as a FREE game to everyone, so support should be available to all equally. 

I have made a topic on Get Satisfaction to show our displeasure on this I am asking you ALL chime in and let them know we are not happy about this. Cuba Is Now Open !!! Only 1 Bug / Robbing

Well they hinted it was coming and we broke it on our show LIVE is was & here it is CUBA. With a new Ruby level to do for new loot items, new Achievement, mastery item & a new mission to boot. 

So we now get to burn all that energy on Cuba as Brazil's Smuggler's Haven is gone and you will need plenty as the jobs only give 3% then go down to the dreaded 1%. Gee what a shock right !!! But they are lower energy jobs if that helps any. 

Cuba will only be with us for 13 days so you need to will have to go nuts just like in Brazil to get it done in time.

This is pretty much they same as it was before only with a new level to do & this will make some players happy if they never got to finish Cuba or vault their collections as now they got a second chance to do so.

Now their is one bug, well it is not really a bug but a delay as Zynga is still loading the servers with the robbing feature with Cuba. Some have already seen robbing while others are still waiting. 

The new mission requires you to rob to get certain items but have no fear you can rob in any city and get them and they count. I robbed in NY and got them all very fast as they dropped nicely. 

So have fun everyone !!! And this is just in time for Labor Day and you will be laboring to get thru it LOL. 

"Adventure World" Zynga's Newest Game Coming Soon

Zynga the largest Social Gaming Company in the World is growing a bit more as they have release a trailer for their newest game "Adventure World " coming to Facebook. 

If the trailer is any indication it looks like a cross of Treasure Island meets Indiana Jones. It looks like it will combine puzzles, quests to different lands while you interact and play with your friends who try to help you succeed. Looks like a fun game from the trailer.

No official release date has been announced except it is coming real soon according to the fan page and I  would bet it will hit just in time for the busy Labor Day weekend so watch for it.

More Adjustments From Zynga ???

Well it looks like those people who didn't get early access to Smugglers Haven are going to be quite pissed when they hear that some JOB ADJUSTMENTS are coming again. 


To be honest this one is definitely not fair as it was a Zynga programming error AGAIN. It gave too much XP vs Energy out and now it will be adjusted according to the Mafia Wars Blog. So brace yourselves !!!

Secret District: Smuggler's Haven Balance Tuning

One of the things that makes Mafia Wars so much fun is that it is a living, evolving game. We work hard to release a lot of exciting content and extensively test every feature and event prior to release, but sometimes imbalances don’t become apparent until those features are in use by millions of players. Unfortunately, the XP/energy ratios of the Smuggler’s Haven Secret District is one of those cases and we have determined that they need to be adjusted again this afternoon to preserve the balance that keeps Mafia Wars fun for everyone. The ratios will be closer to those found throughout the rest of Brazil. We want to apologize for the inconvenience, so as a consolation, we will be increasing the stats of the loot received in Smuggler’s Haven. We hope you enjoy the better loot!

Power Packs, A New Hospital & The Missing 25% Of Stamina Solved

We had a couple of things added last night that the players are going to really like. We had Power Packs added to the game & a Revamped Hospital.


Zynga yesterday, right as we went on the air with our show, came out with a some new features, a slow roll out once again but you will get it if you dont have it, the Power Packs are something the fighters were looking for them to add and PAC & the players lobbied hard for this and Zynga actually listened. 


They are basically 8 hour 125% Stamina Packs but there is some thing else they can be used for and that is a health refill of 200% and that is every 10 minutes if you decide to use them for that. So you get 2 things in one with these new Power Packs. 

Now they also added a good thing to these Power Packs, A TIMER !!! YES REALLY, so you will know when you can use a Power Pack again. To see the hospital timer you must go to the hospital  but the stamina pack timer will be right on the game home page right under where the energy packs are. Unfortunately the timer for the energy packs has disappeared but hopefully that is just a temporary issue because they really should have both timers. 


Now some things you should know about them is that you can have up to a max of 10 in your inventory, if you use one you can then accept another one. If you already have 10 in your inventory and try to accept another one it will turn into a mystery boost. You can send & receive them as gifts from the gifting page as they have removed the regular stamina in favor of the power packs. 


You also get to keep the energy packs too so you can use both individually which is going to make for some serious leveling up by everyone who uses them properly. So basically we now have 8 hour energy packs & 8 hour stamina packs. WOO HOO !!! 


The old stamina packs you have in your gifts still work every 16 hours for now but I am sure Zynga will change this one eventually. So for now you have both. 


Now here is something that will not make the players who use Assinator, play on Mafia Wars.com or use other unframed automated programs happy about the power packs. When you use the new power pack as a stamina pack you will see you stamina rise to 125% on your screen but once you go to use it with these programs, on Mafiawars.com or unframed you will lose the extra 25% bonus and it will just be a stamina refill. 


Is this Zynga's way of keeping you on Facebook if you want the full bonus, Maybe. Then again it may just be a bug because as you know Zynga has had a history of not being able to proper code the 125% stamina packs as what was seen with the Daily Take fiasco. We will keep you informed on this one. 


Overall this is a great new addition to the game and this is going to be a permanent feature to the game so enjoy them. They seem to be working fine and hopefully they wont break when everyone gets them LOL.

The Facebook Game News Sidebar - Can It Be Turned Off ?

Well Facebook has done it again !!! They have added a new feature to annoy all it's gamer's called Real-time Game News Sidebar. 

This feature gives us in real time news of what our Facebook friends are Supposedly doing right now as far as the games & 3rd party apps. The reason I say supposedly is because it said I was playing a game when I was in bed sleeping and didn't have any games running. So much for real time. 


Now this wouldn't be so bad if they made it directly related to the game we are playing, like Maria needs help in a war, or actually had it about games we actually play BUT NO !!! They include all games & Apps our friends play so now I know that Billy Bob just got the high score on Smurfs & Co. Can You Say DELETE ? LOL 

Now here is the Million Dollar Question, Can It Be Turned Off ? 

The answer is NO !!! 

You cannot remove the new feature form you page. Sorry, Facebook has done this to appease it's money spending developers & marketers to help them get more exposure and try to help them get more players. This was the bone they threw them to stop them from bellyaching about the 30% cut they have to give Facebook on the sales of the virtual items and the fact they cant grow due to the many Facebook restrictions put on them. So it aint going any where. 

So what can you do about this ? Not much, BUT you can remove certain posts by rolling over it and clicking on the X that appears on the far right side of the post. When you do this it will open up a new things as to why you want to remove this post and gives you a choice of answers you can give Facebook as to why you removed the post. . 

You do have the option to help out your friends so they dont see what games you play by going in and editing all the games & apps you use so that only you can see it but lets face it that is not a real solution as 90% of the people wont do that. You can delete all your friends so you see nothing, again not a good solution because you need them to play the games. 

The only viable solution if you really dont want to see it is to, at least for Farmville & Mafia Wars players is to go direct to their site off Facebook and play or unframe the game and then you wont see it. 

I wish I had better news for you about this feature but I dont and no else does so far but if a solution does come out you can bet I will be the first one to share it with you. So for now we have to live with this annoying feature, Sorry.

Blue Eyed Nate The Community Manager Is Leaving Mafia Wars & Zynga

The Community Manager Nate McGee or Blue Eyed Nate, as he is better known as, has decided to leave Mafia Wars & Zynga to pursue greener pastures effective Friday. 

Nate has done more with the Mafia Wars Community to open up the communications lines between the players & Zynga than any other Community Manager in the history of the game and he will be missed. A temporary replacement has been named until a permanent one can be found and her name is Meghan and she seems very nice so far. 

What does this mean for Mafia Wars ??? Not alot the game will continue on as usual as employees come and go in companies. All we can do is just hope the next Community Manager is as open and will to listen to us and try to get things done for us. 

He will not being doing Mafia Wars Live anymore but has assure us that it will go on as usual, PAC will remain and expand as planned, and he has set up a personal page that you can join to keep up with what he is doing and remain friends with him. 

So all I can say is that we wish you the best in all your future endeavors, you will be missed very much. You are a great person and I for one and happy to have known you and hope we remain friends after you escape ZyngaVille. Good Luck Buddy !!!

The Weekly Timers Are Fixed !!!

Hey everyone looks like Zynga has fixed the weekly timers on the Family Progression Mission. 


As those of you who has had the weekly timers they have been down for over 24 hours and you couldn't progress on the individual side of the mission and basically you couldn't really help your family. Well it has been reset now and you can go on and do your personal tasks to gain that extra experience while helping your family progress.


Customer service was overloaded yesterday as player tried to contact them to get it fixed but customer service couldn't fix it as the developers had to fix it however they were giving out compensation to the players. The big question here is what will Zynga do for all the players who didn't get compensation ie. 30 reward points & a loot item which seemed the norm., we will see and let you know what they decide and bring it to you as we find out. 


So for now have fun doing the mission as this is actually a good Family feature they have added and I know our family is working together very well to reach the goals & they are also having fun friendly competitions amongst themselves. So I really like it. 

The Family Progression 411 & Weekly Timers Are Broke

Well we knew there had to be something that would break over the weekend and that happens to be the Weekly Timers on the Family Progression Missions.


Yep it is stuck in Zynga Limbo it wont reset and if you have already completed all the tasks & collected it all anything you do now does not count for the family progression. You are stuck. While the ices still count for the Weekly Icing Event everything else they wont count in the family totals until Zynga Developers get around to fixing it. 


Now if you didn't get a chance to finish all the parts well right now you are in luck you still have time to complete them and they will still help the family. But you better hurry and dont forget to collect them so you get that experience cause if you dont you will miss out on it. 


The players who got the feature first and have daily timers well that is working just fine it is only the players with the weekly timers who are having the issues. Zynga is aware of it as the Super Moderator Cerulean Master has let the developers know. Customer service cannot help you reset timer and will give compensation right now on this BUG. I asked. I just hope Zynga does do something to compensate the players on the weekly timers. 


I guess The daily timers are the way to go for everyone. Anyway Zynga finally has released the 411 on the new feature so here is is reprinted below or you can go here to see it for yourself.

Level Up Your Family

Q:  What is 'Family Progression'?A:  Family Progression is a feature which allows Families to level in a way similar to individuals.  For each level, the family is awarded a special perk that benefits all the family members.  Experience towards family level progression is gained by family members completing actions in the game.  The same core actions that help you level will benefit your family! Q:  Is this a permanent feature to the game?A:  Yes!  This is a new feature that you can expect to enjoy for awhile. Q:  Do I need to be in a Family in order to participate?A:  In order to participate in this feature, you will need to join or create a Family. Q:  How do I join or create a Family so that I can participate in this event?A:  Instructions on how to join or create a Family can be found here:  http://support.zynga.com/cp_articleview?gameId=43&Id=kA160000000GooHCAS Q:  How do the timers work?A:  The timer in the top right corner of the window lets you know when the current period ends and the next period begins. You have until then to maximize your contribution to your family's collective experience. Q:  What happens if I don't collect my perks before the timer runs out?A:  If you do not click the 'Collect' button prior to the clock running down, you will lose all progress and will need to repeat all of the tasks. Q:  How do I help my family out?A:  You can contribute to your Families progress by earning experience points for in-game activities that you already do every day. Q:  Are there Mastery levels for these activities that I can progress through?A:  Yes!  There are Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. Q:  How is the feature tracked?A:  When you visit your Family tab you find the progress bar.  This will show you which level you are on as well as what your current mastery. This will also show the Leaderboard for each of the four contributing activities. Q:  How many levels are there?A:  There are 10 levels that you can complete. Grand prize terms-

The winner of the Evil Ed's "Zombie Apocalypse & Halloween Prize Giveaway!" will have his or her likeness used in the design, sculpture and production of a new ZOMBIES UNLEASHED statue from QUARANTINE STUDIO. In addition to having their face replicated, the winner may choose from a list of QUARANTINE STUDIO approved "styles" of character. 


They are: Doctor, Nurse, Construction worker, Survivalist (Zombie killer?), Policeman, Firefighter, Solider, Cook, Stewardess, Dancer (not stripper). The actual uniform or costume design is not up to debate for any choice. We will do our best to portray an accurate vision of any chosen character style and keep the design as "tasteful" as a fetid corpse can be. No exposed genitalia or hooters.

The ultimate design of the statue is solely the purview of QUARANTINE STUDIO. Please keep in mind, friends, we're talking about a rotten corpse. So if you're a pretty gal or a handsome chap, don't expect to use a picture of your ZOMBIES UNLEASHED portrait for your passport, driver's license, or to woo the opposite sex. We suspect your face will look a tad different than you're used to.

The winner's first name may also be used in the ZOMBIES UNLEASHED character title for the statue based on them, if the winner chooses to do so. Last names will not be used. 

The winner will also receive (2) copies of the finished statue, signed by the sculptor, along with other prizes, including other statues from the ZOMBIES UNLEASHED line.

The winner will be required to sign a release (minors will need a parent/guardian signature). The release will contain legal mumbo jumbo to protect QUARANTINE STUDIO, and guidelines for the contest. Failure to sign the release will result in forfeit of the prize. The prize is non transferable.
